In the eminent competition with the participation of more than 800 athletes from over 100 countries of the world, our compatriot Bekzod Abdurahmanov earned the bronze medal in freestyle wrestling in the weight category of up to 70 kilograms.

During the championship, those who rose to the podium has included Khetik Tsabolov and Abdulrashid Sadullaev of Russia, Yaqub Gor and Taha Akgul from Turkey, Reineris Salas of Cuba, Vladimir Khinchegashvili from Georgia, Kyung Young from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Hassan Rahimi and Komil Ghasemi from Iran, among others.
