Hokim of Namangan region Shavkat Abdurazzokov met with long-term election observers and representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

The observers reported on their functions and announced that they would take part in all processes related to the elections.

Hokim of Namangan region Mr. Abdurazzokov noted that during democratic reforms in New Uzbekistan, cooperation with international organizations has been raised to an even higher level. On Election Day, voters can exercise their right to free expression of will. All the necessary conditions have been created for this.

The guests also expressed their interest in getting acquainted with the economic potential of Namangan region and promising areas of cooperation. In this regard, they were informed about the region’s economic development, the activities of textile and light industry enterprises, and the tourism sector.
