In accordance with the Constitutional law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, a national referendum will be held in Uzbekistan on April 30 this year.

The Hokim of Namangan region, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Abdurazzokov met with observers of the OSCE limited referendum observation mission Johanna Berger and Irina Shuliankova.

Views on the referendum and the activities of the OSCE/ODIHR mission observers were exchanged. The observers stated that they would participate in the process before the referendum, on the day of voting and after it, based on their functions and mandate.

At the meeting, OSCE observers praised the socio-political changes taking place in Uzbekistan. International observers got acquainted with the activities of the 6th Namangan constituency for holding the referendum.

The observers focused on the fact that no complaints have been received from citizens until today, and timely answers have been given to all questions received from media representatives at the press conference.
