Short-term international observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly arrived in Karakalpakstan.

The delegation visited the 1st Karakalpak District Election Commission, accompanied by Fabrizio Vielmini, who arrived in Nukus as a long-term observer from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

The Chairman of the district election commission U. Jalmenov informed international observers about the work carried out in connection with the preparation and conduction of the Presidential elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the decision of the Central Election Commission of August 25, 2021, special attention is paid to the implementation of preventive measures to ensure security during the elections in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

Polling stations are provided with thermometers, pyrometers, medical masks and gloves, antiseptics, disinfection was carried out at polling stations at least 6 hours before the voting started, lines were outlined providing a distance of 1.5-2 meters.
