The delegation led by the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Kairat Abdrakhmanov visited the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

At the meeting with the Speaker of the Lower House N. Ismailov, detailed information was given on the large-scale reforms carried out in all spheres of the country’s life.

Kairat Abdrakhmanov highly appreciated the reforms carried out in the country in recent years under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, including the liberalization of the economy, ensuring openness in cooperation with the world community, strengthening good neighborly relations with the countries of the region, developing tourism, and improving the system of work with the population.

The OSCE representative emphasized that he visited several regions of Uzbekistan, where he witnessed transformations and renewals, including activities to protect human rights and freedoms, improve the welfare of the population, and support youth and women.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations, constant interaction and development of cooperation.
