First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Chairman of the Constitutional Commission Akmal Saidov met with a delegation led by the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Kairat Abdrakhmanov.

Akmal Saidov informed the guests about the constitutional reform being carried out in Uzbekistan.

It was noted that all the necessary conditions have been created for citizens to send proposals, opinions and judgments on the Draft Constitutional Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

At the meeting, members of the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the Group for working with proposals of the Constitutional Commission. The guests were provided with information on creating the possibility of accepting proposals by the Constitutional Commission using modern means – the electronic platform Meningkonstitutsiyam.uz, a call center by a short number, postal service, a special bot in the Telegram messenger.

The OSCE representatives also got acquainted with the activities of the Press Service of the Constitutional Commission and fully supported the work carried out in this direction.
