The creative project of the Second International Forum of Musical Theaters – Operetta.uz, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the State Theater of Musical Comedy (Operetta) of Uzbekistan, has been completed.

At the closing ceremony, First Deputy Minister of Culture Avazkhan Tajikhonov delivered a speech and presented certificates to the participants. Art fans enjoyed a performance by representatives of foreign musical theater and a gala concert.

During the forum, which was attended by representatives of theaters from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, issues of establishing creative cooperation and exchange of experience on an international scale and planning tours were discussed.

The event was organized to ensure the implementation of the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for further development of culture and art” of February 2, 2022 and the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further improve the activities of state theater institutions and entertainment concert organizations” of April 18, 2019.

This international festival once again showed that in Uzbekistan, the theatrical genre of musical comedy is consistently developing. All opportunities are mobilized for the cultural leisure of compatriots, and the necessary conditions are created.
