Openness and publicity for preventing corruption
This theme was the subject of an international virtual conference held at the Supreme Judicial Council, organized jointly with the Representative Office of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ).
The event was attended by members of the Supreme Judicial Council, media representatives.
The President of the Higher Administrative and Constitutional Court of Rhineland-Palatinate, Lars Brocker informed about the laws governing the formation of the judiciary, the methods of appointing personnel to the office of a judge. The main attention was paid to ensuring the independence and inviolability of judges, criteria for assessing their rating, factors that ensure openness and transparency in the system.
At the present stage of the judicial and legal reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, it is important to ensure the true independence of judges and prevent corruption in the system.
