The Central Council of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy tiklanish”, the party faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis held an open dialogue on discussion of the Tashkent Declaration on Afghanistan.

The Central Council of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy tiklanish”, the party faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis held an open dialogue on discussion of the Tashkent Declaration on Afghanistan, signed at the international conference “Peace process, security cooperation and regional connectivity”, held at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on March 26-27, in Tashkent.

The event was attended by deputies, party activists, responsible officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and public representatives.

The Tashkent Declaration on Afghanistan, signed at the conference, provides for maintenance of peace and security in the region, strengthening cooperation in all areas, and close good-neighborly relations. The participants of the event exchanged views on these issues.

During the open dialogue, the need was emphasized to bring to the attention of the general public the problems identified in the declaration signed at this international conference, the address of the Head of the state, which is the most important task of the party departments at all levels.
