An online seminar has taken place in Tashkent Region’s electoral district No 10 for the elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on ensuring the successful work of precinct electoral commissions in the territory of the electoral district.

An online seminar has taken place in Tashkent Region’s electoral district No 10 for the elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on ensuring the successful work of precinct electoral commissions in the territory of the electoral district.

The seminar was attended through studios set up in localities by members of all the 875 precinct electoral commissions and the chiefs of organizational control groups of district and town hokimiyats (governors’ offices).

“Electoral precincts play a big role in holding this important political event transparently on the basis of democratic principles for citizens to freely express their will. The necessary equipment has been delivered to all the polling stations of the district electoral commission in conformity with the norm-setting requirements. The effective use of this equipment will make sure that this important political event is held at a high level. During the seminar, specialists and members of the district electoral commission gave detailed answers to questions that came from localities,” says the first deputy chairperson of Tashkent Region’s district electoral commission No 10, M.Yoldosheva.

At the event, reports were heard on such subjects as “Precinct electoral commissions’ tasks relating to elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “Raising commission members’ knowledge about elections” and “Compiling voters’ lists and summing up results of electoral processes”.
