About 130 foreign experts confirmed their participation in the International Conference “Central Asian connectivity: challenges and new opportunities”, which will be held on February 19-20.

According to the Organizing Committee, as of February 15, 2019, about 130 foreign experts confirmed their participation in the International Conference “Central Asian connectivity: challenges and new opportunities”, which will be held on February 19-20. They represent 36 countries, 9 international and regional organizations, 71 analytical structures, 18 state organizations and parliaments.

Co-organizer of the conference, the Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Natalia Gherman, is expected to address the conference.

The EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian, Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization Alan Wolff, Chairman of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute Frederick Starr and other experts specializing in regional issues will also attend the event.

At the sessions, experts will exchange views on regional security issues in Central Asia, cooperation in trade-economic, transport-communications, water and environmental, energy, tourism and cultural-humanitarian areas.
