On November 27, 2017, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

On November 27, 2017, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on key issues of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan relations, prospects of further expansion and deepening bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic, transport-communication and other fields.

The heads of states emphasized that the current year of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations was filled with concrete practical content and allowed to significantly strengthen bilateral relations, raise them to a new, more qualitative level.

The mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan is dynamically expanding, the dialogue at all levels, including between the border regions and business community, is becoming more active. Since the beginning of this year, the trade turnover has grown significantly, joint trade houses and modern production facilities have been established.

The heads of states emphasized the importance of further active cooperation with the purpose of timely implementation of the planned programs and projects of cooperation, especially in the economic sphere.

The sides also noted with satisfaction the fruitful cooperation in the sphere of foreign policy and within the framework of leading international organizations.

The conversation was held constructively, in the spirit of relations of friendship and good-neighborliness between the two states.
