The second day of the 26th International Exhibition and Conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan – OGU 2024” is taking place in Tashkent.
The exhibition is organized with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Uzbekneftegaz JSC by the Iteca Exhibitions and its partners ICA Eurasia Group and Congresses of Central Asia – CCA. The general sponsor is Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
“The strategy of increasing the energy attractiveness of Uzbekistan against the backdrop of growing globalization is important for the country’s development. The transition to an export-oriented economy after 2017 and the creation of companies in the energy sector are the basis of this policy. Our companies supply high-quality and relatively affordable products to local consumers and then focus on foreign markets”, Boburbek Ruziyev, a representative of Person Hunters, noted. “This exhibition allows us to create and strengthen the image of Uzbekistan in terms of energy potential. The development of energy exports will positively impact the country’s economy, including an increase in GDP and GDP per capita. GDP growth, in turn, can help increase the human development index and improve citizens’ quality of life. Uzbekistan’s role in the global energy sector can be significant considering its resources and potential”.
The Commercial Director of the Perm sorbent plant “UralKhimSorb”, Ekaterina Omelina, said that this enterprise is the only producer of the majority of wood-based activated carbons in Russia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
“Our activated carbon is widely used for water purification, alcoholic beverages, and oil refineries, including the cleaning of industrial products from foaming”, she says. “We cooperate with many companies in Uzbekistan. Our modern manufacturing technology, known as sorbtech, is based on techniques dating back to the 1970s. Using modern technology, we obtain an environmentally friendly and highly active product, recognized for its low ash content and half the weight compared to analogs. We are interested in establishing a long-term partnership in Uzbekistan and plan to open warehouses to facilitate the prompt delivery of products. During the exhibition, we expect to conclude several contracts”.
