Tashkent hosted a festive event on the occasion of May 12 – International Nurses Day.

The winners of the “Best Nurse of the Year” and “Best Nursing Staff and Pharmacist of the Year” contests in 15 nominations were solemnly awarded at the event. All participants of the republican stage of the competition received badges “Excellent Health Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan”. Most importantly, nurses who took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at the Republican stage of the competition will be admitted to medical universities without exams.

The work of doctors who work with nurses and support them has also found recognition. For the first time in the history of the country’s medicine, doctors were awarded “For selfless activity in a remote region”, “For contribution to the development of Uzbek cardiac surgery”, “For the right decision in an unexpected situation”, as well as in the nominations “Operation of the Year”, “For selflessness shown in the development of the clinic”.
