Nukus city hosted a solemn event on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the adoption of the Law “On the State Emblem of the Republic of Karakalpakstan”.

It was attended by writers and poets, artists, students, public and media representatives.

The national anthems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan were played.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan R.Zarikeyev congratulated the participants on the 29th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution and the State Emblem of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The Law “On the State Emblem of the Republic of Karakalpakstan” was adopted on April 9, 1993, at the XII session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan of the XII convocation. This day is widely celebrated every year.

State symbols at all times were revered and considered sacred. They reflect the past, present and future of the people. One of them is the state emblem, which is a symbol of state sovereignty and embodies national and cultural traditions. It is the duty of each of our compatriots to treat it with great respect.

The event continued with a concert program.
