UAE hosted the 5th Sharjah Masters 2022 International Chess Championship.

According to the Ministry of Sports Development, the event brought together 80 players representing 31 countries.

The tournament was held according to the Swiss system and consisted of 9 rounds. Uzbekistan was represented by Javokhir Sindorov, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Nodirbek Yakubbayev, Shamsiddin Vokhidov and Humoyun Bekmuratov.

The talented Uzbek GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov won the title of the 5th Sharjah Masters International Chess Championship 2022 after scoring 7 points out of 9 games.
