El Llobregat International Chess Tournament, held in Spain’s Castelldefels, was attended by 150 eminent chess players from more than 30 countries. International grandmaster from Uzbekistan Nodirbek Abdusattarov was also among them.

After the sixth round of the international tournament, which was held in an acute and uncompromising struggle, Nodirbek lagged behind the leaders of the tournament by half a point. But, he managed to demonstrate his potential and will and confidently played in the seventh and eighth rounds.

Playing with black grains, Nodirbek defeated Thomas Beerdsen from the Netherlands, and in the eighth round, he played with white grains and won the round against Eltaj Safarli from Azerbaijan. In the last round, Nodirbek drew with Santos Latasa from Spain and scored seven points out of nine possible. As a result, he took first place in an international tournament.
