NMMC will introduce modern corporate governance methods
The Project Office of Navoi MMC will be created in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan “On measures of improving the efficiency of activities of the State Enterprise Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combinat” of January 9, 2019.
The Project Office of Navoi MMC will be created in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan “On measures of improving the efficiency of activities of the State Enterprise Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combinat” of January 9, 2019.
The Project Office will deal with introduction of modern corporate governance methods and organization of activities on transforming the plant into a joint-stock company. Reduction in the cost of production by optimizing and automation of business processes, carrying out transformations in the sphere of finance and procurement are also identified among its tasks.
At the same time, a new position appears in the company’s structure – the First Deputy Director General, who will be responsible for the effectiveness of activities of the Project Office, organizes an external audit, and will expand the funding sources.
Within two months, the business plan of the plant for 2019 should be prepared and submitted.
