Yunusabad Sports Complex in Tashkent hosts the Asian Weightlifting Championships.

About 250 athletes from 34 countries are taking part in the prestigious tournament.

Uzbekistan’s Nigora Abdullayeva, who lifted 86 kg in the snatch and 106 kg in the clean and jerk, recorded 192 kg in the sum of the two exercises and won a bronze medal.

The Asian Championships will run until February 10.
