New voices are being identified
The first qualifying stage of the New Voices contest held by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the National Radio and Television Company, the Uzbekkno national agency, the Uzbeknavo performing arts association and the state unitary enterprise Youth Culture and Art Centre has taken place in the youth creativity palace.
The first qualifying stage of the New Voices contest held by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the National Radio and Television Company, the Uzbekkno national agency, the Uzbeknavo performing arts association and the state unitary enterprise Youth Culture and Art Centre has taken place in the youth creativity palace.In the process of implementation of reforms under the leadership of the country’s President, a great deal of attention is being paid to trusting and comprehensively supporting young people and to encouraging lads and girls to achieve new goals of creativity.
The presidential decree dated 6 February 2014 “On additional measures directed towards implementing the state youth policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is an important legal basis for initiating work in this area in accordance with modern requirements.
The goal of the New Voices television contest being held by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in cooperation with a number of partner organizations is to identify young talents in the sphere of performing arts, to upgrade their mastery and to promote the best traditions of national and world performing arts. The number of those desiring to take part in the contest has exceeded 400. Amateur and professional performers aged between 18 and 300 took part in the first stage of the contest.
During this multi-stage creative project, every participant’s talent and ability will be evaluated.
“Every performer is glad about this variety of festivals and contests of creativity aimed at developing the talent and ability of lads and girls,” says Farangiz Muzaffarova, a second-year student of the state art and culture institute of Uzbekistan.
Those who win in the qualifying stage will be taking part in the next stage of the contest. Its winners will be declared on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Uzbekistan.
