Tashkent hosted the International Scientific-Practical Conference on “New Uzbekistan against domestic violence: state, problems and solutions”.

The conference consisted of 4 sessions. The discussion at these sessions of such topics as combating and preventing domestic violence, protecting women from harassment and violence, conducting an uncompromising fight against cruelty and violence against children, and protecting people with disabilities from violence has become of current importance.

About 20 reports on the role of state bodies in the prevention of domestic violence, the effectiveness of services provided to women who applied to the centers, relevant tasks of forming a system aimed at preventing child abuse, mechanisms for creating an inclusive society for persons with disabilities, were heard at the event.

The conference was attended by about 100 specialists in – doctoral students, media workers and representatives of 12 international organizations. Following the conference, a debate took place between the participants.
