22:48 / 2025-11-11

A solemn ceremony dedicated to November 11 – the Day of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan – was held at the Palace of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Cabinet of Ministers, senators, deputies, activists of the organization, and heads of international labor and trade union organizations.

The congratulatory message from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the activists and members of the country’s trade unions was read by Sherzod Asadov, Head of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration and Presidential Press Secretary.

The message emphasized that the New Uzbekistan is, above all, a state where human life, health, rights and interests, honor, and dignity are reliably protected by law.

Therefore, in building a new society in the country, the more than century-long experience of trade unions, uniting about eight million members, plays a vital role in protecting rights and interests and ensuring the principles of justice and equality in the field of labor.

The Presidential Decree “On awarding a group of employees in connection with the 120th anniversary of the trade union movement of Uzbekistan” serves as a practical reflection of the great attention paid in our country to this public institution.

At the ceremony, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, presented high state awards to their recipients.

Speakers at the event expressed their gratitude to the Head of State for the high recognition and attention given to the development of this organization.

A theatrical musical program dedicated to the 120-year history of the trade unions of Uzbekistan was also presented during the ceremony.
