The Embassy of Uzbekistan and Japan’s Hankyu Travel International held an event on the “Tourism potential of Uzbekistan”.

During the presentation, which was dedicated to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, detailed information was provided about historical monuments and structures included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The event participants also learned about the tourism potential of such historical cities as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz, Termez, and Uzbek traditions, dishes, and tourist routes that may interest Japanese tourists.

A “tourist corner” of Uzbekistan was also organized during this event. Guests were given guidebooks and maps prepared in Japanese.
