A solemn ceremony took place in connection with the second anniversary of the opening of the terminal at Samarkand International Airport by Air Marakanda.
Air Marakanda’s Deputy Director General for Commercial Affairs, Artyom Pak congratulated the event participants.

Air Marakanda is the first private company in Uzbek aviation history to manage Samarkand International Airport through a public-private partnership.
Excellent results have been achieved at the airport in a short period under the control of Air Marakanda. More than 1 million 600,000 passengers can fly on 7 local and 21 international lines. Flights to Dubai, Baku, Abu Dhabi, Tel Aviv, Urumqi, Jeddah, Kuwait, Izmir, Ufa, Samara, and Urgench were launched here for the first time.

“Two years ago, Samarkand International Airport, demonstrating excellent performance, began to write its new history”, said Deputy Director General of Air Marakanda Artyom Pak. “The number of terminal users, distinguished by modern architectural solutions, various services, and a special atmosphere of comfort, hospitality, and safety, is expanding. We are not limited to what has been achieved and continue to develop infrastructure, increase the types of services, strive to expand the network of destinations, contributing to the implementation of the concept of “Samarkand – the tourist gateway of New Uzbekistan”.
