The Russian Language Center has been opened in Khorezm region, at Urgench branch of Tashkent Medical Academy, with the support of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Russian Language Center has been opened in Khorezm region, at Urgench branch of Tashkent Medical Academy (TMA), with the support of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation) in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by the deputy khokim of Khorezm region Sanat Salayev, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Uzbekistan Viktor Shulika, Director of Urgench branch of TMA Rashid Ruzibayev, Deputy Director on educational work of Urgench branch of TMA Bakhram Yuldashev, Pro-Rector on academic work of Urgench State University Sardor Khojaniyazov, representatives of state structures of Khorezm region, teachers of Russian language and literature of schools, lyceums of Urgench and Khorezm region and journalists.

The Urgench branch of Tashkent State Medical Academy is the most modern educational complex in Khorezm region, equipped with different techniques.

The Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo transmitted an entire library to the Russian Language Center – more than 300 volumes of scientific, educational, methodical and fiction literature, teaching aids, multimedia equipment.

A roundtable discussion on Russian language, a concert by the Russian Cultural Center of the city of Urgench together with the Tatar Cultural Center took place.

The event aroused great interest among the entire cultural community of Khorezm region and once again demonstrated a high level of friendship between the two countries, a high interest in the culture and language of the brotherly people.
