The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with the Director of the UN Forum on Forests Secretariat, Juliette Biao Koudenoukpo.
The parties discussed issues of developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN, particularly projects in healthcare and ecology. Views were exchanged on projects to combat climate change, considering its impact on children, youth, and women.

The Central Asian region is increasingly experiencing the consequences of global climate change. The drying up of the Aral Sea has caused complex environmental and socio-economic problems in the region. From this point of view, during the conversation, the importance of implementing new measures with the active participation of the UN and its specialized agencies for the widespread introduction of green technologies and modern methods was emphasized.
An agreement was reached on systematically continuing the dialogue and expanding the scope of jointly implemented projects.
