172 farms in the region are engaged in breeding fish in artificial reservoirs with an area of 1.2 thousand hectares. Joint venture Aqua-Tudakul at Tudakul reservoir in Kyzyltepa district has built an incubation shop for cultivation of whitebait on the basis of Vietnamese technology. Currently, the company is working on adaptation of the existing building for processing of 1000 tons of fish per year. Joint venture Aqua-Tudakul, created by Shams-Navoi enterprise and the American company CASEF due to improvement of the investment climate, plays an important role in development of fish farming in the region.

The joint venture is completing the construction of a warehouse with a 250-ton refrigerator, installing a technological line brought from abroad. Workshops for production of 400 tons of fish fillets, 350 tons of semi-finished products, as well as fish cutlets are being organized. The company’s products are exported mainly to Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. The most important thing is that 100 people are employed.

In the current year, it is planned to produce 20-22 million whitebait in the incubation shops of the enterprise, and 20 million whitebait naturally in 40 closed-type reservoirs.
