Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev held talks with the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdulrahman Al Fadley.

The parties discussed issues of enhancing collaboration in agriculture. The Uzbek side presented specific areas where it is planned to attract the experience of partners from Saudi Arabia. In particular, they talked about projects to introduce innovations in the agricultural sector.

To enhance the interaction of research institutes in all segments, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation between the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture of Saudi Arabia.

The parties agreed on joint projects, which will undoubtedly contribute to the production of high-quality agricultural products in Uzbekistan, and their export to Saudi Arabia.
