The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) presented the main vocational training programs developed based on the standards for the textile industry and dedicated to the project “Support to the process of reforming and modernizing the vocational education system of Uzbekistan”.
It is known that the GIZ project was launched in July last year. Initially, the specialists of the first component developed professional standards for the most demanded professions in the textile industry. In particular, these are standards for 3-4 categories for a seamstress, spinner, and cutter, as well as for an adjuster of electrical equipment, an installer of textile enterprises, and a textile industry technologist.
The authors of the developed basic vocational training programs are associate professors of Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry and methodologists of the Institute of Pedagogical Innovations for Retraining and Advanced Training of Managers and Teachers of Vocational Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The project, implemented by the consulting company GOPA, aims to create professional standards and develop training programs in the textile industry.
