The issue of processing medical waste is one of the most pressing.

Essential tasks are outlined in the resolution of the country’s President “On measures for the effective organization of the activities of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change” of May 31, 2023.

At the meeting between the Hokim of Namangan region, Shavkat Abdurazzokov, and representatives of the delegation of the American company Sayar LLC, which arrived in Uzbekistan, opinions were expressed regarding the problems of medical waste disposal. Members of the delegation visited several medical institutions in the region, including the private clinic Oydin Shifo in Yangi Namangan district. They became familiar with the storage conditions, composition, quantity, and condition of medical waste.

Representatives of the American company expressed their readiness to study mutually beneficial proposals and provide comprehensive assistance. He introduced those present to the project for producing thermal energy by thermal recycling of medical waste.
