17:58 / 2025-11-07

Commenting on the “C5+1” summit held in Washington, leading expert Dr. Eric Rudenshield described it as “a critical and timely dialogue for the administration of President Donald Trump”.

He stated that Washington viewed Central Asia as a strategically important region and noted that the “C5+1” format was opening up new opportunities not only for political dialogue but also for economic cooperation. According to him, some of the most promising areas of partnership included cooperation in strategic minerals, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies.

Dr. Rudenshield also emphasized that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was recognized as a leader who embodied the new face of Central Asia.

He noted that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was widely recognized as a forward-thinking political leader who actively promoted the “New Central Asia” initiatives. He added that the liberalization of the visa regime and the continued strengthening of Uzbekistan’s openness policies were clear examples of the President’s ongoing commitment to innovation and open dialogue. According to him, the President was encouraging the region to adopt new ways of thinking, and this approach was yielding tangible results.

Analysts believed that the “C5+1” summit had opened a new chapter in relations between Central Asia and the United States, with Uzbekistan emerging as a confident and inspiring leader in the process.
