New opportunities for cultural interaction
As part of strengthening international cooperation in culture and art, Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, met with Kuni Sato, Advisor at the National Institutes for Cultural Heritage of Japan.
This meeting opens up new opportunities for exchanging experience and implementing joint projects, including archaeological exhibitions at the National Museums of Tokyo and Nara in 2027 and the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka in 2026.

The planned events have great potential to showcase both countries' unique cultural and historical heritage.
In general, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan will significantly benefit cultural life and contribute to the development of scientific research in archeology and ethnography.
