On October 11, the International Institute for Central Asia in Tashkent will host a roundtable discussion on “Belt and Road: New Opportunities for Central Asia”, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of this initiative.
The event will be held ahead of the upcoming third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing.
The heads of Central Asia and China diplomatic missions, national and international experts from leading analytical centers, and research institutes will attend the event.
It is planned to discuss the current state and prospects for cooperation between the countries of the region and China in various fields, as well as to develop specific proposals and recommendations for increasing practical partnership between countries within the framework of the BRI.
The international roundtable discussion will make it possible to discuss at the expert level the significance and relevance of the BRI for the countries of Central Asia and China, to promote the expansion of contacts and the exchange of experience between representatives of government agencies, the business community, scientific and public organizations.
