The team of the Cell Technology Laboratory of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry named after Obid Sodikov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan has established the cultivation of seed potatoes by biotechnological method in in-vitro conditions at the experimental farm “Bakhmal” of Jizzakh region.

The team of the Cell Technology Laboratory of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry named after Obid Sodikov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan has established the cultivation of seed potatoes by biotechnological method in in-vitro conditions at the experimental farm “Bakhmal” of Jizzakh region.

Currently, the experimental farm “Bakhmal” is preparing potato seeds for farmers of the district and owners of household plots. If last year 3 hectares were allocated for seed potatoes, now this area is 11 hectares.

The experimental farm has concluded contracts with farmers and owners of household plots for the supply of 135 tons of elite potato seeds and 500 thousand microclubs.
