A large-scale project worth $50 million has been launched in Kuva district of Fergana region, with the participation of Russian investors.
At the official ceremony organized on this occasion at the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, participants joined via videoconference, including Fergana Region Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov, Governor of Russia’s Omsk region Vitaly Khotsenko, investors, representatives of the district administration, and members of the wider public.

The regional Hokim congratulated all participants on the launch of this significant project and noted that cooperation between Fergana and Omsk regions is developing at a dynamic pace. He emphasized that numerous agreements were reached during last year’s regional delegation’s visit to Omsk region and subsequent negotiations, which ultimately led to the initiation of this large-scale project.

In Kuva district, Energy-land LLC will build a fruit-processing and agrilogistics center on a 15-hectare site. The complex will include a fruit and vegetable processing plant with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons, cold-storage facilities with a total capacity of 30,000 tons, a hotel, and other infrastructure. The project will create 500 jobs, and annual agricultural exports are expected to reach $100 million.

Governor of Omsk region Vitaly Khotsenko emphasized that Uzbekistan and Russia are strategic partners. He expressed confidence that the construction of the new center will promote further cooperation, noting that Fergana’s fruits and vegetables, as well as its textile products, are in high demand on the Russian market.
As part of the event, a foundation stone was laid for the fruit-processing and agrilogistics center.
