Chairman of the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiyev met with Group Deputy CEO at Qatar’s Power International Holding Maurice Ghattas.

The meeting began with a presentation revealing Uzbekistan’s tourism opportunities. Particular emphasis was placed on reforms in the tourism industry implemented in recent years.

At the meeting, issues of attracting Qatari investments in the development of tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan were discussed. Including the construction of hotels in the historical cities of Uzbekistan, a railway for high-speed trains and a toll highway Tashkent – Samarkand, and the implementation of projects to create an international all-season theme park in Tashkent region.
