Presidential instructions in action
The President reviewed the project of the new international airport in Tashkent region and took part in the ceremony marking the start of construction of this large-scale complex.

This event also held special significance for the residents of Bukhara region, who followed it with great enthusiasm.
During the President’s visit to the Bukhara region on May 31-June 1, 2024, a key directive was issued to construct a new international airport in Bukhara, aiming to develop the region’s tourism potential.
For the implementation of this initiative, 370 hectares of land have been allocated in Bukhara district. According to the project, a 3.3-kilometer runway capable of accommodating all types of aircraft will be constructed, along with a modern terminal building designed to serve 1,200 passengers per hour. The $226 million project provides for the development of infrastructure that meets international standards.

During the ceremony, the regional Hokim Botir Zaripov expressed gratitude to the President on behalf of all residents of Bukhara for the commencement of the project’s practical implementation.
It was noted that the construction of this large and significant facility will give new impetus to the development of tourism, services, and industry in the region. In addition, it will significantly improve transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as the quality of passenger and cargo transportation.
