New ice arena opens its doors in Tashkent
The opening ceremony of the Ice Arena “Alpomish” was held in Tashkent, on New Year’s Eve.
According to the Tashkent City Hokimiyat, the former “Yubileiny” sports complex, which has a history of more than 50 years, has been revived after two years of large-scale reconstruction called “Alpomish”. The total area of the sports facility, designed for 6,000 seats and meeting the most modern international standards, is 8,000 square meters.
The ice palace has all the conditions for holding hockey matches, short track competitions, figure skating, curling. At the same time, the main attention will be paid to the introduction of the experience of foreign experts. Various sports sections will be created for sports fans.
