According to the Chief of Department for Coordinating the Activities of Sports Federations at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports Umid Rajabov, the number of sports federations operating in the country has increased by one more. Uzbekistan Grappling Association has been established.

The meeting of the new association took place on January 24 at the National Press Center in Tashkent.

The Charter and the governing body of the new sports association were approved at the meeting. According to the voting results, Afzalkhuja Ubaydullayev was elected the head of Uzbekistan Grappling Association. Several decisions were also made on participation in international grappling competitions, holding domestic championships, and the wide involvement of young people in this sport.
