On August 31, ISRS hosted a meeting with a delegation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation led by Chairman of its Board Norbert Lammert.

At the meeting, the guests were informed about the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan. Views were exchanged on the current issues of regional and international agenda, promotion of cooperation between ISRS and the Foundation.

The regional policy of Tashkent was considered, which, according to Mr. Norbert Lammert, created ample opportunities for establishing close relations with neighboring countries. According to him, it allowed not only to establish good-neighborly relations, but also to unite efforts to solve regional problems.

Following the meeting, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s delegation expressed interest in holding joint events on various current topics in regional security, sustainable development, civil society, and others.
