Delegation of the Research Center for Restoration of Objects of Cultural Heritage and Work of Arts, the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan visits the United States to study the experience of one of the world’s largest museums – the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Delegation of the Research Center for Restoration of Objects of Cultural Heritage and Work of Arts, the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan visits the United States to study the experience of one of the world’s largest museums – the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The purpose of the visit is to organize an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, the Deputy Director for Exhibitions of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Quincy Houghton, expressed her readiness to assist in organizing the exhibition.

An agreement was reached on cooperation between specialists of the two countries and organization in the US of free internships for scientists from Uzbekistan.

The museum was founded in 1870 by a group of American businessmen and art lovers from New York. About seven million people visit the museum annually, funded mainly by sponsors. Its fund has more than two million exhibits.
