On June 9, 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Süreyya Er, via videoconference, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Current issues of multifaceted bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment and other spheres were discussed during the conversation.

Special attention was paid to the preparation for the second meeting of Uzbekistan – Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Tashkent. In particular, it was noted that it is necessary to finalize the agenda of the event as soon as possible and hold regular rounds of negotiations in the format of the Strategy Planning Group and inter-MFA political consultations.

The parties also exchanged views on the schedule and agenda of other joint events planned for the current year.
