On April 22-26, Gulistan hosted the regular meeting of Government delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Joint Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan Demarcation Commission.

On April 22-26, Gulistan hosted the regular meeting of Government delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Joint Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan Demarcation Commission.

Within the framework of the event, the parties continued to work on preparation of draft final documents of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan State Border Demarcation.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, during the stay in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan delegation conducted joint field surveys in some parts of interstate border.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged proposals for passage of demarcation line on certain sections of state border within Tashkent and Jizzakh regions of Uzbekistan on adjacency with Turkestan region of Kazakhstan.

The meeting was held in a friendship and mutual understanding atmosphere.

Following the negotiations, heads of delegations – the First Deputy of Goskomzemgeodezkadastr of Uzbekistan Tulkin Abdullayev and Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Vyacheslav Gizzatov signed a corresponding protocol.

According to the schedule of meetings, the next meeting will be held in Kazakhstan.
