Meetings are taking place as part of the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).

Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov met with the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries Mehmet Süreyya Er.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation with this prestigious international organization.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov met with TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev.

During the sincere dialogue, the Secretary General noted the high level of festive events held in Uzbekistan in connection with the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY and expressed gratitude for their organization. It was emphasized that in recent years the scale of mutual cultural ties had been expanded, and Uzbekistan has greatly contributed to this.

In 2023, it is planned to celebrate the 1050th anniversary of the great scientist Abu Raihan Beruni, the 540th anniversary of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, and the 120th anniversary of the famous poet Gafur Gulam.

The parties discussed existing plans and new projects.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Kubanychbek Omuraliev.

Several issues were discussed at the meeting, including the expansion of the “Tabarruk Ziyorat” (Holy Pilgrimage) tourist platform and its integration with data on places of pilgrimage in Turkic-speaking countries.
