NBU supports young entrepreneurs
08:33 / 2021-04-27

Young businessman Farid Murodov, at the expense of the credit funds of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan for 400 thousand dollars, built a greenhouse on 1 hectare. The total cost of the project is $684,000.

“There is a little good harvest in the desert, there are some difficulties. Therefore, here I decided to use the drip irrigation method. If earlier the drip irrigation was used only in greenhouses for growing tomatoes, now water-saving technology is expanding its presence in domestic agricultural production and is being introduced as a priority in the cultivation of orchards and gardens, becoming a daily norm for local farmers”, says Farid Murodov.

In the future, F. Murodov plans to expand the greenhouse to 3 hectares and hire even more people.

Financing of such projects by NBU also helps to solve social problems in remote areas. In particular, employment is provided for women and youth included in the “iron notebook”.

Farid Murodov’s business has inspired many other residents of the region. Thus, another project financed by the NBU is the Dorman Textile enterprise, located in Karmana district. At the expense of the allocated funds of NBU for 400 million UZS, young entrepreneur Asadbek Akhtamov opened his production about two weeks ago. At the moment, 55 women living in Dormon mahalla have already been employed.

“So far we are only engaged in the production of children’s clothing. I am planning to enhance the enterprise, employ up to 80 people, and export my products to Russia. We have many plans, and thanks to the financial support of the NBU, they will be able to be successfully implemented”, the entrepreneur notes.

The National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan, acting under the motto “Power in Trust”, continues supporting young entrepreneurs.
