Thanks to the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for further development of the private healthcare sector” of April 1, 2017, and “On the creation of additional conditions for further development of private medical organizations” of December 29, 2017, private medical centers receive great support from the state.
Measures have been approved to stimulate the private sector of medical services. In turn, the National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan finances several such promising projects. We will inform about some of them below.
In 2019, Dil Savdo launched the Remedium Clinic, which provides a wide range of medical services.
“Our medical center has been operating since August 2019”, says Alisher Muhamedjanov, head physician at Remedium Clinic. – The clinic treats urological, gynecological, endocrine and otolaryngological diseases. The center is equipped with modern medical equipment. We have employed 40 people.

NBU contributed to equipping the medical center by allocating a preferential loan for $108 thousand for the purchase of a laparoscopy apparatus in Germany.
LLC Neo Med Cardio started its activities in 2019. It operates in cardiology. Even though the clinic began operating relatively recently, more than 300 patients are provided with medical services every day.

The institution also used a loan from NBU. The allocated funds were used to purchase medical equipment of such well-known brands as GE MRI (USA), Canon (Japan) and others.

“In 2019, I applied to Uchtepa branch of NBU for the purchase of modern medical equipment”, says the founder of Neo Med Cardio clinic, Hakim Fayziyev. – The bank studied my request and issued a loan through the EBRD for $2 million for a period of five years. These funds were used to purchase equipment from Europe and the USA. Then we equipped the clinic with ambulances. This made it possible to provide better quality and more efficient service to patients.
The Nur Med eye clinic offers effective and high-quality diagnostics and treatment of eye diseases, undergo a full examination, receive comprehensive advice from highly qualified specialists, and painlessly solve any issues related to the restoration of vision.
“We have been cooperating with Sayokhat branch of NBU for a long time”, says Dilshoda Gafurova, head physician of Nur Med clinic. – In 2017, we received a loan in the amount of 4 billion soums. The allocated funds were used to purchase modern medical equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.

Asia Pharm Pack LLC was founded in 2018. It produces rubber stoppers and aluminum flip-up caps for packaging pharmaceutical infusions and injectables.

“In 2019, the Almazar branch of NBU provided us with a preferential loan in the amount of 1.5 billion soums”, says Sherali Urinov, Director of Asia Pharm Pack LLC. – At the expense of these funds, the company purchased additional production equipment.
The increase in the number of private medical centers in the country will serve to further improve the quality of medical services while creating a healthy competitive environment. NBU plays an important role in this process.
