International Paper and ZAK-QOG’OZ, part of the Elma Group, produce paper products for sanitary and hygienic purposes. The National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has financed several projects of the company.

ZAK-QOG’OZ LLC, known under the Elma brand, was established in 2007 and specializes in manufacturing paper towels, paper napkins, wet wipes, and other sanitary products.

The Elma is a well-known brand in Uzbekistan. In 2010 the company decided to expand the product range. This was the company’s first loan application and was assisted by Uzbek Leasing International A.O.

Uzbek Leasing International A.O. and the National Bank of Uzbekistan have financed 3 major projects to improve the foreign economic activity of Uzbekistan. Elma Group is among them. In 2010 the company allocated $200,000 to improve the activities of ZAK-QOG’OZ LLC, which belongs to the Elma Group.

In 2014, 1 million 824 thousand USD were allocated for this company for a period of 5 years. Four years later, $3 million was allocated for 5 years for International Paper LLC, owned by the Elma Group.

Products of Elma Group are popular not only in the domestic market but also in foreign markets. There is enough reason to buy an Elma Group product. First of all, the product is cheap, the quality meets all standards.

Wet wipes, which make up 20% of Elma Group’s products, are packed by 16 workers in about 200,000 bags a day. There is a special laboratory that takes control of the quality of the product.

“Even after packing the product, we check it for bacteria in the laboratory for 5 days”, says the Head of International Paper LLC Kakhramon Nabiyev. – We do not add alcohol to the wet wipes. We use substances that have the property of killing 99 percent of all germs.

A new paper cutting machine imported from China manufactures 25 tons of sanitary paper per day. Elma products are exported to Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The company exported $3 million worth of products last year. It employs 190 people.
