On October 11, Prague hosted Uzbekistan – Czech Business Forum as part of the visit of the government delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by representatives of the business community and the largest enterprises of the two countries. B2B and B2G meetings were held to establish mutually beneficial cooperation.

Following the business forum, important bilateral agreements were reached between the parties regarding developing partnerships in innovative technologies, agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals, transport, electrical engineering, textiles, metallurgy, banking, and financial areas, and a solid package of agreements was signed.

The key agreement reached in the banking and financial sector was a Cooperation Agreement between the JSC National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NBU) and the Czech Export Bank (CEB) to attract a credit line from a foreign party for 30 million euros.
