The Spring festival of Navruz, the oriental New Year, is directly connected with the coming of spring and is celebrated on 21 March, on the spring (vernal) equinox, when day becomes equal to night.

People look forward to Navruz, the symbol of the awakening of the universe, the symbol of rejuvenation and renewal.

Navruz celebrations, folk festivals and various performances are being held in the capital, regional, city and district centers.

On the occasion of the holiday, Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) prepared a photo collection of Navruz celebrations from previous years.
