Navruz is a long-awaited, beloved holiday of spring and renewal. It embodies Uzbek values and traditions and is equally revered by fellow compatriots of different nationalities living in Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted a festive event under the motto “The world will light up with you, Navruz!” In the early morning, sumalak preparation began in the ministry’s courtyard. Culinary contests among the system’s employees also added to the holiday spirit.

The event was also attended by representatives of partner organizations and veterans who have worked effectively in the sphere for many years.

Several charity events are planned during the holiday, including visits to representatives of the older generation and citizens in need of treatment and social assistance.
